Another Great Week On the Campign Trail, 3-2-08
Thanks to the Wagner's for sharing their very touching prolife story about their daughter with Down syndrome. It is very similar to the blog reply from Dan Johnson on the article about our Washington DC trip. Please read it too if you haven't yet. I stopped at about 30 houses. A real common point of interest by nearly everyone is:
1) Get my property taxes down.
2) Do what ever you can to help fix the illegal immigration problem.
I intend to take strong action on both of these issues in the State Legislature next year and quit putting band-aids on the problems.
I can't say enough thanks to the phone volunteers that came in on Monday and Tuesday to make voter ID calls. We got through 825 names from which we added about 100 yard sign locations and got about 25 new volunteers to help with the campaign.
On Friday I had a great day in Martin County visiting some of the key people that Paul Mcfeater had identified for me when he and I met two weeks ago. The response was just great. Thank you again Paul.
Saturday was a candidate training day in Indianapolis with the House Republican leadership. It was kind of nice to be a little ahead of the game when talking about campaign plans. I met some other really great candidates this weekend, let's all hit the ground running and take back the House!

Keep it up!
Mark,
Keep up your hard work and you will be the next State Representative. I'm enjoying all the great blog posts as well. Keep 'em coming!
