Notes from the campaign trail 03-15-08

My most rewarding stops today were at homes of people that traditionally consider themselves Democrats.

The traditional Democrats in southern Indiana are very conservative people. When I talk about Prolife issues, family values issues, property tax reform, making government more responsible for their spending, education reform ideas that I have, and illegal immigration issues, a typical local Democrat says they really like what they hear.

Another Great Week On the Campign Trail, 3-2-08

This week was highlighted by making 825 voter ID calls, some great grassroots work in Martin and a fun day of campaigning in Cuzco on Sunday!

The funnest part of the week was our door-to-door work in Cuzco. At one of the houses, the husband said I was the first politician that he didn't kick off his porch! He said that was a compliment. I had a couple of people ask me what it meant to me to be a Right-to-Life supporter. We had great discussions and they liked my answers.
