We had a blast last weekend in Winslow at the Parade of Lights. My family and friends handed out glow sticks and I played a patriotic service medley. Apparently the firefighters liked the music, because they awarded us 3rd place for best parade entry! Check out the picture of the trophy on the attachment, it is really cool.

I enjoy campaigning in Winslow, and I have shared many great moments there with some fine Hoosiers. When I’m in Winslow, I always make at visit to the Igloo to see Norm and Barb Sweet to get the latest town news. I know that I can stop in there for some good company and a cool drink as I take a break from knocking on doors.

Thank you to everyone who helped out with the parade. I also want to thank the people of Winslow for the warm reception that they gave me. And finally, thank you to the firefighters for the 3rd place trophy! “Winslow Community Festival, Parade of Lights, 3rd Place”!!
